
LL. B [3 Years course ]
LL. B Unitary Degree course
Under the provision of the advocate Act, 1961,the Bar council of India has prescribed a three year law course BASED ON SEMESTER SYSTEM.
Accordingly, University Grants Commission has revised the Syllabus for three year law course for its implementation.
I. An admitted student is required to undergo a regular course of study and attend required number of classes in each semester in order to be eligible to appear in the Examination to be conducted by the college for each of the Three parts Divided in six semesters and fashioned in the following manner.
1. LL.B Part-I -- Semester One Semester Two
2. LL.B Part-II -- Semester Three Semester Four
3. LL.B Part-III-- Semester Five Semester Six
II. A student has to take twenty-eight papers ( subjects ) in all, which shall include eighteen compulsory papers, four clinical papers and six optional papers from among the list of Optional papers and also any additional papers prescribed by this college from time to time:

The three year course leading to degree in law shall be conducted in semester system is not less then 15 weeks for each semester with not less then 30 class hours per week including Tutorials, Moot court room exercise, written test presentation of project work, seminars, provided there shall be at least 24 Lecture hours per week..
IV. Eligibility for admission
The applicant having bachelor's degree in Arts, Commerce, science, Engineering or any other faculty of a recognized university possesses such academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to a Bachelor's degree by the parent University with at least 45% of total marks for general category and 40% for SC/ST, OBC and also as per the norms prescribed by the Bar Council of India from time to time.
Provided that such minimum qualifying shall not automatically entitle a person to get admission into this institution but only shall entitle the person concerned to fulfill other institutional criteria notified by the institution or by the Government Concerned from time to time to apply for admission.
Admission to the LL.B unitary degree course shall be made in accordance with a merit list as per marks obtained by the student in his academic qualification or as per merit list prepared on the basic of aggregate marks obtained by the student in the entrance examination to be conducted by the college.
The maximum age of applicant is limited to 30 years for general category and five year relaxation for SC/ST and OBC as per norms of Bar council of India and accordingly with the right of the parent university.
V. Intake 100 Seats
Note:
(i) In no case a candidate will be eligible for admission to any of the courses of the college; on the basis of TRANSFER CERTIFICATE from any institution imparting LL.B Course.
(ii) No student who has been admitted to the college for LL.B degree program shall be permitted to pursue any other course such as Master's or Diploma course simultaneously.
Provided that it is in agreement with the amendments made from time to time by the Bar council of India regarding the exemption of courses.
Provided further that any short period part time certificate course on language, computer science or computer application of an institute or any diploma/certificate course run by a centre of Development certificate course run by this Autonomous college shall be accepted.
VI. Curricula
1. As per the directives of the bar council of India instructions shall be imparted and examinations shall be conducted semester wise (Besides terminal and sent up test conducted by the college in each semester wise (Besides terminal and sent up test conducted by the college in each semester separately) in the subjects herein after given below.
2. The contents of the courses of study shall be such as set out in schedule of this regulation provided that the Academic Council may make such changes in the contents of the Course of study as and when it deem necessary
(a) LL. B First semester -

2. Law of Torts including M.V. Accident and consumer protection laws
3. Criminal procedure code juvenile ( care and protection) justice act and probation of offenders acts.

(b) Offence against child and juvenile
(c) LL. B Third semester -

(a) Interpretation of statutes and principal of Legislation
(b) Insurance law

VII. Attendance
(a) Every student shall be required to attend at least (Minimum) 75% of the total number of lecture delivered in each subject including Moot courts and tutorials However, lectures below 75% up to 60% may be allowed as per General provision of the college regulation for eligibility to appear in the examination.
(b) (i) A total number of at least 90 lectures shall be delivered in a subject or group of subjects forming a separate paper.
(ii) Six sitting of Moot court shall be arranged in each subject expect the following-
I Jurisprudence
II Legal History
III Banking law and negotiable instruments act
IV Legal writing and General English
V Arbitration, Conciliation and alternative dispute resolution systems
VI Interpretation of statutes.
VII Environmental law.
(iii) Ten tutorials classes shall be arranged in each paper during the session
Provided the principal with the permission of the vice-chancellor may reduce the number of lectures, Moot court and Tutorial in extraordinary circumstances.
(c) No student shall be allowed to appear in the Examinations unless he passes Two out of three terminal examination and the Sent up Test conducted by the college on completion of the required number of lectures. Moot court and tutorial as mention in clause 3 (a)
VIII. Examination
There shall be an Examination in specified papers of every semester in LL.B one to sixth semester. Each paper shall carry hundred marks divided into two parts i.e. 70 marks on Term-end Examination of theory papers and 30 marks on internal assessment and examination. The internal assessment and examination shall comprise of performance on tutorials, moot-court exercise, written test, project works and attendance in class rooms as per the requirements in individual paper. The duration of the examination shall be three hours.
Provided that the examination in practical training shall be conducted in groups as directed by the bar council of India rules and examination schedule fixed by the college, as mentioned in clinical paper in semester III, IV, V & VI
In order to pass and to be placed in 2nd class an examinee must obtain a minimum of 33% marks in each theory paper excluding internal assessment and examination and at least 45% marks in the aggregates of all the papers taken together including the marks obtained in internal assessment.
In order to pass and to be placed in 1st class an examinee must obtain minimum 33% marks in each theory paper excluding internal assessment and at least 65% marks in aggregates of all the papers taken together including the marks obtained in internal assessment.
The degree shall be awarded by the parent university on the basis of total aggregate marks obtained in all the six semester examination i.e. first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth semesters examination taken together conducted by the college.
Provided that an examinee who has failed in only one subject or in aggregate or in both taken together by shortage of maximum of 5 marks, may be awarded such a marks in that subject or in the aggregate to make him pass and the added marks shall e taken in to account for determining his class.
Provided further that an examinee who has passed in the aggregate but has failed in one or more subjects in any of the semester end examinations may be permitted to appear at the immediate two subsequent examination in the subject or subject in which the examinee has failed.

X. Semester Examination
(a) LL.B Semester-I Examination: No Student shall be allowed to appear at LL.B Semester I Examination unless he has been sent up for the said examination.
(b) LL.B Semester-II Examination: No student shall be allowed to take up LLB semester - II examination unless he has passed LL.B Semester - I Examination and he has been declared sent -up for LL.B Semester II examination.
(c) LL.B Semester - III Examination: No student shall be allowed to take up ll.B. Third semester examination of this college unless he has passed LL.B Semester - I and Semester - II examination of this college.
(d) LL.B Semester - IV Examination: No student shall be allowed to take up LLB. Semester - IV Examination of this college unless he has passed LL.B Semester I, II and III examinations and he has been declared Sent-up for LL.B Semester - IV examination of this college.
(e) LL.B Semester-V Examination: No Student shall be allowed to take up LL.B semester-V examination of this college unless he has passed LL.B Semester I, II, III and IV examinations and he has been declared Sent-up for LL.B Semester - V examination of this college.
(f) LL.B Semester-VI Examination: No Student shall be allowed to take up LL.B semester-VI examination of this college unless he has passed LL.B Semester I, II, III, IV and V examinations and he has been declared Sent-up for LL.B Semester - VI examination of this college.
XI. Operation of the regulation
These regulation for three years law course (Semester system) shall come into force from sessions 2009-2010 for which students have been admitted to LL.B Unitary Degree Semester course.
